Entry Requirement:

  1. If you have obtained the Business Startup Certificate since 2015

    Complete one of the following Option:

    Option 1: already with 1 year or above kitchen experience or kitchen-related certificate

    • Pay $1600 (including certificate by UK, e-certificate, administration, badge and exam)
    • Register for City & Guilds Assured Certificate in Food Business Start-up by filling up the online application and make payment.
     

    Option 2: without kitchen experience nor kitchen-related certificate

    • Attend any one of the interest classes at HKCA (8 lessons or more)
    • Pay $1600 (including certificate by UK, e-certificate, administration, badge and exam)
    • Register for City & Guilds Assured Certificate in Food Business Start-up by filling up the online application and make payment.
       
  2. No Business Startup Certificate but with any other kitchen-related certificate
     
    • Attend the Business Start-up top-up course (1 theory class + exam + 5 optional whole day self practice sessions) (fees $4,500)
    • Date & Time:

      Theory class: Pending
      Multiple Choice Exam: Pending
      (Note: students need to submit their finished products in the exam session)
       Plus 5 optional whole day self practice sessions (to be arranged individually)
       
    • Register for City & Guilds Assured Certificate in Food Business Start-up by filling up the online application and make payment.

Medium of Instruction:
English for English Speakers or Cantonese Supplemented with English Terminology

Assessment & Awards:

Students must achieve 100% attendance and 50% or above in exam to obtain a City & Guilds Assured Certificate in Food Business Start-up.
